LG continues to renew its terminal catalog in all categories. Within mid-range and input, the K family has welcomed three new models so far this year: the LG K61, LG K51S and LG K41S, all with quad rear camera, 4,000 mAh battery and MIL-STD 810G military certification.
Those three models were unveiled in January and have gone on sale recently, but it looks like they won’t be the only ones. There is a new member of that K Series that has just appeared on the Google Play console, the LG K31, which We have already advanced its front design and some features. And judging from the features listed, it points directly to the entry range.
Very modest brain and memory
If it finally becomes official, the LG K31 would come as the successor to that LG K30 that we met almost a year ago, in August 2019. At the moment, we know that it is already listed on the Google Play console, along with a front image and some features. In the photo, it can be seen that the LG K31 abandons the top frame of its predecessor to opt for a notch in the form of a drop where the front camera would be housed.
What does remain is the thick lower frame and the HD + panel, although in the new model the resolution grows slightly to 1,500 x 720 pixels to give a density of 280 dpi. It also retains 2GB of RAM, but replaces Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 429 processor with MediaTek’s Helio P22.
That eight-core chipset would be accompanied by the Imagination Tech PowerVR GE8320 (650 MHz) GPU and the Android 10 operating system. From the photographic equipment, there are no details, but LG is likely to replace the LG K30’s lonely rear camera with two sensors or even three. We will have to wait for the official presentation to know the rest of the benefits, but for now, everything indicates that the LG K31 will be LG’s economic bet for this 2020.
