The Ministry of Health reported this Sunday, until a cut made at 4:00 p.m., an advance with respect to Saturday of 16 thousand 738 doses applied against the coronavirus, so that in total there are X inoculations.
Last Monday began the second phase of the vaccination plan against the coronavirus in Mexico, focused on older adults. The first phase was aimed at front-line medical personnel, that is, health personnel who directly care for COVID-19.
At a press conference, José Luis Alomía, general director of Epidemiology, reported that the distribution of the doses is as follows:
-Health personnel: 650 thousand 814 first doses; 453 thousand 55 (70 percent) second doses.
-Older adults: 567 thousand 826 first doses.
-Educational staff (from Campeche): 17 thousand 463 first doses.
Vaccination against the coronavirus began on December 24. Mexico was the first country in Latin America to start the injection against this virus, and one of the top 10 in the world.
