Right after finishing filming for ‘Red Notice’, Ryan Reynolds announced on Twitter that he has already started filming for his next action-adventure movie for Netflix titled‘The Adam Project’. The actor also wanted to publish some first images of the set where we see Reynolds with director Shawn Levy and the very young Walker Scobell.
The story follows Reynolds as a man who must travel back in time to get help from his 13-year-old self. Together they will have to meet his late father, who is the same age as Reynolds at the time, and fix things to save the future.
To complete the cast we have Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana, Jennifer Garner and Catherine Keener. Jonathan Tropper, who already collaborated with Levy on the 2014 film ‘Ah os quedis’, has written the script for the film from a story by T. S. Nowlin (‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’). The film has been in a drawer for eight years, as in 2012 it was close to seeing the light with Tom Cruise as the protagonist.
Reynolds and Levi (who recently also collaborated on the science fiction / comedy film ‘Free Guy’) produce the film for their Maximum Efforty 21 Laps Entertainment labels, while David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger do the same for Skydance.
Finished our first week on The Adam Project. In addition to taking these two photos, @netflix will be happy to know we also shot some of the film. Happy to be back in the sturdy arms of my friend, life coach and director, @ShawnLevyDirect. pic.twitter.com/9fb3Qalf0J
