Halo: The Master Chief Collection has more players than ever thanks to the arrival of its multiple installments to PC and its recent premiere on both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

343 Industries is working hard on the new installment in the franchise, but doesn’t want to completely abandon the players in the collection. For this reason, it announced a free update to kick off Season 5 of the game.

The update will come with surprises for veteran fans of the series, as it will include new content for Halo 3 and Halo: Reach. The good news is that the studio has already confirmed the release date of the update and part of its additions.

Halo Season 5: MCC Coming With New Content For The Saga

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will receive a new free update next week. To be more exact, players will be able to download the update on Wednesday, January 27. This will mark the start of Season 5 of the game.

343 Industries prepared 80 new armor pieces that can be unlocked in Halo 3 and Halo: Reach. It will also release additional skins for the weapons in the collection. To top it off, there will also be a new set of challenges with 4 unique rewards.

All fans will have access to the new content, as the free update will come to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC. 343 Industries promised there will be more surprises to be revealed in the coming weeks.
