The Federal Attorney for the Consumer, Ricardo Sheffield, said that in El Buen Fin alcoholic beverage sales are 20 percent higher in sales.
“The sale of alcohol has increased, better understand a book, which lasts longer than a bottle”
Clothes, shoes and television screens are the best-selling products.
According to the latest analysis by the market research agency, Kantar, 9 out of 10 Mexicans plan to buy a product in the 2020 edition of the Good end. Of these, wines and spirits, have a growth of (+ 8%) compared to the 2019 edition, 22 percent assured that they will buy a bottle of alcohol during the promotional event.
This coincides with the statements of the Federal Consumer Attorney, Ricardo Sheffield, who said that in El Buen Fin alcoholic beverage sales are 20 percent higher in sales compared to last year, but given this he said that it would be better to buy books, which last longer than a bottle, given the increase in the sale of alcoholic beverages.
“The sale of alcohol has increased, better understand a book, which lasts longer than a bottle”said the official after giving a report on the edition of El Buen Fin that will last until November 20, at a press conference from the National Palace.
Sheffield added that in the 2020 edition of Good End, clothing, shoes, and television screens are top sellers.

These 2020 figures also coincide with what the Kantar agency dictates when it indicates that 68 percent of Mexicans plan to acquire some article of computing or electronics, being the category that stands out from the rest. Then follows the clothes and shoes, category that has been in the top historically and that so far is in second position, with 61 percent of Mexicans who estimate to buy some new garment.
Meanwhile, for 48 percent, the promotional event is a good opportunity to buy a white goods or furniture for the home. This is not strange, considering that consumers spend more time at home, due to the pandemic. In addition, entertainment has also played an important role in this confinement, 36% of Mexicans estimate to buy a video game, this is 10 percent vs 2019.
In addition to this, the attorney made involuntary advertising to the Sears and Liverpool stores, noting that there are interesting offers. From Kantar they indicate that Amazon continues to lead as the favorite online store of Mexicans, and is the most valuable brand according to the BrandZ Global 2020 ranking, with 43 percent, followed by Coppel (22 percent), Liverpool (20 percent) , Mercado Libre (14 percent), Walmart and Best Buy (10 percent).
But in the negative aspects of the 2020 edition of El Buen Fin, he said that in the offers of Clothing and footwear is where they have received the most complaints because the offers are confusing.
