Germany detects almost 3,900 new cases of covid-19 in one day

Germany registered 3,883 cases of infection by the Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in the last 24 hours, reported the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), attached to the Ministry of Health.

The balance updated to February 23 is 2,394,811 confirmed cases of infection (+3,883), including 118,700 active (about 6,300 less than the previous day), 2,207,700 recovered (+9,700) and 68,318 deaths (+415 ).

The cumulative incidence in the last seven days is 60.5 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants.

The day before, 4,369 infections and 62 deaths were reported.

Since March 11, the World Health Organization has classified the disease as a pandemic Covid-19 caused by the new Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 detected in late 2019.

Throughout the world, more than 111.72 million cases of infection by the pathogen have been registered, including more than 2.47 million deaths and some 63.02 million recoveries, according to Johns Hopkins University in the USA.
