Football / Second.- Almería continues to rise in the Tartiere and places third in LaLiga SmartBank


UD Almería was placed in the third position of LaLiga SmartBank 2020-2021, and one point behind the promotion positions, after extending its streak of consecutive games won to six by beating Oviedo 1-2 this Monday in the match that closed the fifteenth day of the championship.

The Almeria team is currently the one in the best shape of the Second Division and has added 26 of the last 30 points, also ending with the undefeated condition of the ‘Carbayones’, undefeated the last five days.

The visitors took the lead before the first half hour of play through a penalty from Corpas, but Ziganda’s team leveled in the second half through Blanco Leschuk. Corpas certified victory with his sixth goal of the year in the 78th minute.

And as in the previous week, without a break, this Tuesday the sixteenth day of the championship will begin with a direct duel to be among the top six between Fuenlabrada, undefeated in the last six games, and Málaga, which has already shown his danger at home (4 victories).
