First images of ‘Nightmare Alley’, by Guillermo del Toro

Let’s go with the first poster and the first official images of ‘Nightmare alley‘, a new film written and directed by Guillermo Del Toro whose premiere will hit theaters on Friday, December 17, 2021 (January 28 in Spain). That same weekend he will face none other than the film from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.

Adaptation of ‘Alley of Lost Souls’ by William Lindsay Gresham, the film stars Bradley Cooper as Stanton Carlisle, Cate Blanchett as Dr. Lilith Ritter, Toni Collette as Zeena, Willem Dafoe as Clem Hoately, Richard Jenkins as Ezra, Rooney Mara Perlman as Bruno and David Strathairn as Pete.

In ‘Nightmare Alley’ an ambitious young showman (Cooper), with an undeniable talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words, is in league with a psychologist (Blanchett) who is even more dangerous than he is. Some goings-on that will involve in one way or another a fairground employee (Mara), a charlatan (Dafoe) and Strong Bruno (Perlman), as well as a rich member of high society, the rich industrialist Ezra Grindle (Jenkins ).

Del Toro directs and co-writes the script with Kim Morgan, in addition to serving as a producer alongside J. Miles Dale of TSG Entertainment, Searchlight Pictures has the worldwide distribution rights to the film.
