First details of ‘the Falcon and the Winter Soldier’, Marvel’s next for Disney +

After a long year of silence, Marvel returns to the fray with all its ability to capture the public’s attention. During the last weeks, WandaVision aroused admiration and bewilderment. The first official production of Phase 4 has become a phenomenon of criticism and audience, despite its strange script and inexplicable plot. Now is the turn of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, whose premiere is a few weeks away.

If a few weeks ago Anthony Mackie commented on his enthusiasm for the arrival of the series, now actor Sebastian Stan has done the same. He shared an unpublished photograph on his official Instagram that shows the appearance of the character in the series.

‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’: some context

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

The second Marvel series for Disney plus will show what happened to Sam Wilson and Bucky after the events narrated in Endgame. So far, only Spider Man: Far From Home gave a more or less broad look at the world after the Bruce Banner snap. However, it is likely that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier do it from a more adult and solid perspective.

The show, which has been defined as a “global adventure,” with resemblances to a spy movie, also includes Agent Sharon Carter and Baron Zemo in the cast. Which indicates that most likely the plot shows Sam as the new Captain Americá in the face of a formidable enemy.

Until now, the details of the series had been largely a mystery. But now, with the premiere weeks away, Marvel seems keen to shed some details. To the enthusiasm of the fans, Sebastian Stan shared images from the first camera tests of his character’s appearance in the series. Unlike the tired-looking and slightly spoiled Bucky we saw in the movies, the TV show will sport a neat and oddly military outfit.

The actor included the photo on his Instagram account and detailed that it belonged to a series taken in October 2019, which included the first costume fittings. “Camera test, October 2019. Less than two months to go,” reads the bottom of the image.

According to its cast, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is much more like Captain America: Winter Soldier than any other story from phase three. The insinuations indicate that it will be a spy tour that will include, perhaps, reveal some secrets related to several of the unclear points of the Sokovia treaties and other subjects.

With Malcolm Spellman as showrunner and directed by Kari Skogland, it will debut on Disney Plus on March 19.
