In this film, Chalamet faces his first leading role in a big-budget blockbuster, which also comes with the added pressure of adapting the beloved science fiction novel written by Frank Herbert. Its precedent, ‘Dune’ (1984) by David lynch, It was a failure of critics and public. Will Villeneuve be able to live up to the novel and confirm himself as one of the great filmmakers of the moment?

The story follows Paul Atreides, whose family acquires ownership of the dangerous desert planet Arrakis. The planet is home to the galaxy’s most valuable resource, a drug known as a “spice,” which prolongs human life and gives its users superhuman abilities. Upon taking possession of Arrakis, the Atreides family becomes the enemy of the rival Harkonnen empire and the planet’s natives, known as Fremen. And so the war begins.
