Ezra Miller’s character in the Stand series revealed

A few days ago, a new preview of the upcoming miniseries on the streaming platform CBS All Access delved into his particular post-apocalyptic world, where a fateful struggle between good and evil takes place. Today, an important detail of The Stand has stolen headlines on the web and concerns the enigmatic role played by the famous Ezra Miller. Not only was a name revealed to us, but we also have a first look at the actor in the show inspired by the Stephen King novel of the same name.

In the new serial adaptation of The Stand, Ezra Miller will play Trashcan man, an unstable arsonist and one of the few survivors of a deadly plague that claimed the lives of more than 99% of the planet’s total population. That character becomes a member of a group led by Randall Flagg (Alexander Skarsgård), who under the pseudonym “The Man in Black” is the incarnation of evil and the main promoter of this apocalypse.

«[Trashcan Man] It’s so different from any other way that no one has seen Erza before, and he’s very committed to that, ”commented The Stand showrunner, Benjamin Cavell, to EW. “He is a huge fan of the book. She had fallen in love with this character and had wanted to play him for a long time. On our first call, he described Trash as ‘the embodiment of pyromania’. The only thing this guy was capable of, and the only area in life he felt comfortable with, was with explosives and instruments of fire and destruction.

Apparently, Trashcan Man will be a character in the series always in underwear and military boots, only complemented by relevant accessories to satisfy his incendiary vices. In an email to EW, from the set of Fantastic Beasts 3, Ezra Miller defined his character as “the underrated and misunderstood among us.”

“‘Fireproof underwear’ were the first words that came out of my mouth in the first concept meeting,” Miller added in his message. “I was very interested in working directly with the costume department to create a look based entirely on the practical demands of the arsonist characters. Trash carries nothing more than what is necessary to make firebombs, light them and get as close to the flames as possible, to feast on the fire. “

Composed of 10 episodes, The Stand will premiere on December 17 through CBS All Access. It is still unknown through which channels it can be seen in Mexico.

Along with Miller and Skarsgård, the cast of the miniseries is made up of Whoopi Goldberg, James Marsden, Odessa Young, Jovan Adepo, Amber Heard and Greg Kinnear, among others.

Toño Guzmán I have a very bad memory. Out of solidarity with my memories, I choose to lose myself too. Preferably in a movie theater.
