The world of cinema has become a great medium for video games to extend their reach. Several title-based or industry-based projects are in development and one of the most raising expectations is the Tetris movie that will be run by Apple. Few are the details that are known about this production, but apparently it is going very well, since one of the protagonists and the director would have already been defined.
According to a Deadline report, Apple has just secured actor Taron David Egerton (Rocketman, Kingsman) and director Jon S. Baird (Stan & Ollie) to direct the direction of Tetris: The Movie. The actor would be responsible for impersonating the Dutch designer and businessman Henk Rogers, who was one of the main in charge of securing the rights to Tetris to distribute titles of the franchise on consoles.

The Tetris Movie Will Present Some Legal Issues The Franchise Had
In case you don’t know, the Tetris movie will portray the origins of one of the most iconic games in history and the efforts of Alexey Pajitnov (the creator of the game) and Henk Rogers to win the dispute over the rights to the franchise in 1980.
There are no details yet on the actor who will represent Pajitnov, but according to the report, the auditions to choose the creative, as well as the entrepreneurs Robert Maxwell and Kevin Maxwell, are about to end.
Also, the report ensures that filming will begin early next month in Scotland. The script was written by Noah Pink and production will be handled by Marv Films. There is still no date or tentative window for its release.
