Disney announces changes and adjustments in its platforms – Las Noticias de Chihuahua – Entrelíneas

According to the executives of The Walt Disney Company (owner of Fox), series such as “The Simpsons”, “This is us” and “Duncanville” will continue on its different channels.

Without changes in its programming but in its visual appearance and name, as of this Monday the different Fox entertainment channels will be known as Star.

In addition, next June a new platform will be added, Star +, which in the case of Latin America will be independent from Disney +, contrary to what happens in Europe where it is within the Disney platform.

According to the executives of The Walt Disney Company (owner of Fox), series such as “The Simpsons”, “This is us” and “Duncanville” will continue on its different channels.

“This important change from Fox to Star comes with interesting challenges because we are talking about changing the name and rebranding the most important general entertainment channel in Mexico and Latin America,” said David Chávez, VP of Marketing at The Walt Disney Company. Mexico.

“The first thing we did was think about the creative concept behind the name ‘star’ and this link that has always existed between entertainment stars, big movie stars and so on. It is what we believe that as a new entertainment brand we are building, it is ideal.

With this transformation, Fox Channel becomes Star Channel, Fox Life becomes Star Life and Fox Premium becomes Star Premium. In addition, while its new streaming platform arrives, the Fox page where the contents are transmitted will continue to operate.

One of the issues that remain to be defined is whether with this arrival in Latin America all seasons of “The Simpsons” will also be included, since in the case of Disney + (which arrived in Mexico in November) only two are available.
