In the last few weeks a lot of news has come out about Deadpool’s future with Disney. Some are encouraging and others not so much, but what is certain is that the third part of the Ryan Reynolds character would be happening, that is why In a very clever way, Disney CEO Bob Iger defended Deadpool.

Everything seems to indicate that the character will very soon become an official member of the MCU, since Bob Iger defended Deadpool from all the criticism Disney has received from the original character creator, Rob Liefeld, who in several public statements has assured that the studio does not plan to make ‘Deadpool 3’.

That’s why to warm up the ground a little bit, Iger recently changed his Twitter header with an image featuring some of Disney’s most beloved characters., from Mickey Mouse, Mulan, Simba, Black Panther, Iron Man or Ariel. But what came to the attention of all the fans, was that in the lower right corner of the image, you can find a smiling Deadpool.

This surely was done as a white-gloved blow to Liefeld, who some of his arguments don’t seem wrong. Since Casa del Ratón has always been obsessed with maintaining a family-friendly brand, one that definitely Deadpool contradicts with the whole scheme of his character.

But according to the We Got This Covered portal, Iger himself has been promoting his commitment to continue the Deadpool story since they acquired the rights to Fox. But, for all the news that has been given, from an internal fight by Ryan Reynolds with Kevin Feige for control of the character, until there is a draft of the script that was leaked and ensures an adult classification in the film, not everything is clear.

What little is known is that Disney plans to release ‘Deadpool 3’ with an adult rating, but they are aware that if the film fails, sIt would be the first and last movie in the MCU in trying this. For now only time will tell what will happen to the character, but that Bob Iger has it within his spoils, already says something.
