There is no doubt that Demon’s Souls is one of the most challenging games out there, and not all users are able to tolerate its high degree of difficulty. Considering the above, Bluepoint Games, responsible for the remake of PS5, they were about to implement an “easy way” to make the title a much more accessible experience.

In a recent interview with The Washington Post, the creative director of the studio, Gavin Moore, explained that there was a point during its development where they were considering adding a lower difficulty level, but eventually decided to scrap the idea out of respect for the original work of From Software:

“While we considered and discussed an easy way, we ultimately decided that it was not our place to add something that would fundamentally upset its balance.

This project redoes the work of another development team. While we made some changes, our main goal has always been to preserve the spirit and purpose of the original creators. “
