Evolution. The coronavirus pandemic that blew up our lives at the beginning of last year has taught many lessons. Among them, the need to adapt to new circumstances and change many things to ‘accommodate’ to the new normal. The sport has undergone numerous changes and in the Danone Nations Cup, the world’s largest youth soccer competition, has been no stranger to it.

In these times, the DNC’s priority is to protect health and the safety of all tournament participants, parents, supporters, workers, volunteers, and partners. And that is why, following the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), the organizing committee of the tournament decided to cancel the competition for the second consecutive year.

DANONE NATIONS CLUB is born, an online competition that combines physical exercise and e-sports

In this context, The Danone Nations Cup has entered a new dimension and announced the launch of the Danone Nations Club, an online competition for young people between 10 and 15 years old that combines physical exercise and e-sports.

The rules are simple. Summoned by the DNC ambassadors (Raphal Varane, Ada Hegerberg and Yunus Muhammad), the children will face challenges that require both physical and mental skills. The more exercise they do, the more they practice, the more points they earn, and the more chances they have to climb the leaderboard. In addition, the boys and girls who participate will also be able to challenge their idols with their best plays.

The DNClub will be available in eight languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic and Japanese) to promote international competition. The tournament is already underway and will end next October 30th.

In addition, the Danone Nations Club enters the world of e-sports. Participants can register online for one of eight tournaments (Europe, North Africa, South Africa, Asia, North America and South America). The winners will represent their respective countries to try to win the ‘Ultimate Football Experience’, a unique experience that includes a trip to Paris, a meeting with the ambassadors and participation in the DNClub awards ceremony.
