CLOSURE IN 16 CITIES OF THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY
The 16 cities of the Valencian Community with more than 50,000 inhabitants apply from three o’clock this afternoon their fourth consecutive weekend of perimeter closure, so that until 6 in the morning on Monday you will not be able to enter or leave them without just cause, a measure that affects 2.3 million citizens.
This perimeter confinement affects the 9 large cities in the province of Alicante (the capital, Alcoi, Benidorm, Elche, Elda, Orihuela, Petrer, San Vicent del Raspeig and Torrevieja); at 5 in Valencia (Valencia, Torrent, Sagunto, Gandia and Paterna), and at 2 in Castellón (the capital and Vila-real).
This measure, which seeks to reduce the spread of the coronavirus by restricting mobility, affects 2.3 million citizens, 46% of the population of the Valencian Community, and it will be repeated next weekend.
The Valencian Community maintains at least all its restrictions against covid in force until March 1, which also include the perimeter closure of the region, the total closure of hotels and sports centers, the curfew between 22 and 6 hours, or the closing at six in the afternoon of the non-essential trade.
