CANADA: 300,000 CONTAGES SINCE THE START OF THE PANDEMIC
Canada exceeds the threshold of 300.00 coronavirus infections in the midst of a growth of positives in the country, after the last few days several provinces have broken records of daily cases and deaths.
The figure is especially worrying in the country because, as the Canadian press points out, the jump from 100,000 to 200,000 cases took four months, while from 200,000 to 300,000 only a month has passed, which shows that the speed of infections is increasingly high.
In this sense, the country’s public health director, Theresa Tam, pointed out on Friday that, while the current daily average of infections is over 4,500, this figure is expected to increase to 10,000 at the beginning of December, as pick up ‘The Star’.
In the last 24 hours, the health authorities have registered 4,802 new positives, although the number of patients discharged this Monday exceeds the number of infections, with 4,886 people recovered. It has also been reported that 74 people have died in the last day because of the disease.
The total number of accumulated cases in the country is 302,192, of which 50,878 remain active, 240,287 are people who have overcome COVID-19 and 11,027 have died.
