The Corona Capital rock and alternative music festival returns to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez after its cancellation last year due to the pandemic. On November 20 and 21, one of the largest music events in the country will be held, and the vaccination certificate will be a requirement for attendees.
The Corona Capital social media account confirmed this Monday that in November there will be a celebration of music that has brought artists such as Green Day, Foo Fighters, MGMT or The Strokes.
For this occasion, a smaller poster was presented but with big names that ensure the call of the fans. This will be the first massive festival in Mexico City after the cancellation of the 2020 and 2021 editions due to Covid-19.
The logistics that will be carried out to guarantee the safety of the attendees are still unknown, because despite the fact that a large part of the population already has a dose of the vaccine and may even be fully vaccinated for the month of November, this does not ensure that avoid new sprouts.
The realization of the Corona remained in doubt since last year although the organizers announced that by 2021 if the mega concert would be held. “We sadly announce that the 2020 edition will have to be postponed to 2021,” they reported at the time.
Now, when the subject was least talked about, it is official that the public will be able to return to enjoy artists such as Tame Impala, Disclosure, Twenty One Pilots, The Bravery, LP and The Kooks. The pre-sale of the event will be on September 16 and 17.
The organizers of Corona Capital detailed that attendees will be able to enter with a ticket, official identification and proof of complete vaccination issued by a Mexican or foreign authority, or with a negative Covid-19 test, applied a maximum of 72 hours before the concert.
