Dustin Poirier answers the “excuses” that Conor McGregor has been making about his injury after losing at UFC 264.
The Lafayette native began like this (via The Fight): ‘Right off the bat, mentally, it seems weak to me. It is weak, they are excuses, but I’m trying not to dig too deep or not see the things that are being published these days and what people are saying, because I am back at home with my family.
He continues: “It’s a victory on my record. I know I did what I had to do in the fight, before the fight, in my training camp. I corrected everything I needed to correct, I gave it my all and then I came out and, as we are saying, all that is noise. Whatever people say or he says, it is what it is«.
I’m healthy, I’m safe, I’m back home. I have another win on my record and I am still the number one contender so those are facts.«, Concludes Dustin Poirier. And he’s certainly on his way to fighting for the UFC lightweight world championship now.
