Coldplay announced the release of their new album “Music of the Spheres” for October 15th.
The group led by Chris Martin confirmed the release of their long-awaited album, which is produced by Swede Max Martin, known for having collaborated with many of the biggest names in pop music such as Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, The Weeknd and Britney Spears.
The album is the ninth study material of the British band and that is why today we will take a tour of the changes that the band have had over the years.
Coldplay is a British pop rock and alternative rock band formed in London in 1996, made up of Chris Martin, Jon Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion, so they knew from a very young age that their thing was music.
The band achieved international success with the release of their single Yellow followed by their debut album, Parachutes (2000), which was nominated for the Mercury Awards. His second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002) won multiple awards, including Album of the Year.
Although their third album, X&Y (2005) did not cause as much enthusiasm, it was equally well received and was the best-selling of 2005. The fourth studio album Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008) was produced by Brian Eno and generated rave reviews, receiving nominations for the Grammy Awards; in addition to being the best seller of the year 2008.
Their fifth album Mylo Xyloto was released in October 2011 to a moderately positive reception and was the best-selling rock album in the UK in that year. Three years later, in May 2014, the sixth album, Ghost Stories, was released.
In December 2015 his seventh album entitled A Head Full of Dreams was released, reaching second place in the United States and his native United Kingdom charts.
Four years later, in November 2019 they publish their eighth album, Everyday Life, with generally positive reviews, however, it did not have the diffusion or the success of their first materials with which they were recognized worldwide.
Now with their latest material, the band hopes to return to the stage after the pandemic that since last year affected the middle of the show.
Coldplay explained that the new single from the album, “Coloratura”, will come out on Friday, as the first with the name “Higher Power”, was already released in May.
“Thank you for listening, for coming to the concerts or any other way we have met through music,” the band said on social media.
