On different occasions, the companies responsible for the creation of consoles have tried to innovate the gaming experience through control and although in some cases the fisrt-party lineup takes advantage of this type of proposal, the truth is that third-party developers follow without being attracted to this option, taking into account that doing something extra has a cost in terms of budget. PlayStation 5 will seek to change history with the DualSense and although it is a fact that the exclusives will take advantage of its technology, it remains to be seen that the other games will do so and in this case a company was already motivated to do so.
DIRT 5, a recent installment from Codemasters, is also available on PS5 and although the bulk of its promotional campaign was loaded on the Xbox Series X side, there is interest in testing this racing proposal with DualSense technology, especially for your haptic controls. Although the game has an experience adapted for the Sony console and its control, something is not to the liking of the development team and they think they can improve it, as David Springate refers to in an interview for GameOnDaily (via Wccftech), where recognized that they can do a better job and that is why they will renew the game controls in this version.
In that sense, Springate’s statements were: “I’ve seen a lot of people say that they want to purchase DIRT 5 on PS5 because of the haptics. It’s really interesting to me because I’ve seen a lot of people that I date in various forums, and it happened hang out on the game’s Discord. I’ve seen a lot of people say they really like the PS5 haptics. We’re not happy with that so we’ll go back to check our controls, though I haven’t seen anyone say they hate them in DIRT 5 , but we are not satisfied with that, so we will go back and renovate them. “
DIRT 5 is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PC. In this link you will find all the related information.
