Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War It was released on Friday the 13th, just in time to enjoy the new consoles. However, it seems that some people who own a PS5, are playing the PS4 version without noticing. In case you find yourself in this situation, here we tell you how to solve the problem.
According to Eurogamer, several users have reported problems with the cross-gen package and the Ultimiate Edition of CoD: Black Ops Cold War, both of which include the PS4 and PS5 version. Thus, some players have indicated that they only have access to the previous generation version, and not the new one.
When purchasing the game from the PlayStation Store, players have the opportunity to download specific parts, such as the campaign, multiplayer, etc. But nevertheless, when choosing the option to download all, the game selects the PS4 version as the main one for those who plan to enjoy this experience on PS5.
In response to this problem, Activision has shared a list of five steps to solve this problem:
-Select the game in the menu.
-Swipe down and look for the option to “Play”.
-Select the 3 points and open the menu.
-Select “PS5 | Complete | Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ”.
-Start the game and enjoy!
Similarly, some users have mentioned that when removing the PS4 version, without the PS5 version being installed causes an error, which prevents you from downloading the PS5 game. To resolve this issue, a factory reset is required. Hopefully a patch that addresses this more effectively is on the way.
