Esports have been growing in Latin America, so it is increasingly common to see people who put up the name of our region. The last to do so is Ángel Inostroza, a Chilean driver who reached the final of the Gran Turismo World Championship.
As our friends from Tarreo say, the 2020 Gran Turismo FIA-Certified Online Championship regional championship was held on November 29. It is an event in which 16 players from the American continent competed for one of the 4 players in the final phase of the Gran Turismo World Cup.
Thanks to his talent behind the wheel, Ángel Inostroza secured second place in this phase of the 2020 Gran Turismo FIA-Certified Online Championship. With this he qualified directly to the final stage of the Gran Turismo World Championship.
One detail that draws attention was that Inostroza was the only Spanish-speaking player on the event’s podium. Also, he is the only Latin American player who will participate in the final phase.
Other Latinos did well in the race
While Inostroza was the only Latin American who went on to the next phase of the Gran Turismo tournament, there were also those who stood out for their good performance in the 2020 Gran Turismo FIA-Certified Online Championship.
What happens is that Nicolar Rubilar, Chilean participant, was in fifth place in the competition. On the other hand, Juan Diego Hernández, pilot from Guatemala, was in seventh position. There is also Fabián Portilla, who took the 13th position of the event.
And to you, what did you think of this news? Do you think Inostroza will go far in this competition? Tell us in the comments.
