The history of hip-hop is huge and very rich. Since its inception, a lot of men and women forged the sound of this genre that in the XXI century continues to introduce us to great artists, but if we have to talk about one of the names that completely marked the rhymes in the 90s, we should definitely mention The Notorious BIG Well, in a matter of a few years, he became a true legend.

From one moment to the next, and thanks to his talent, Christopher Wallace –As it was actually called– went from selling drugs on the streets of New York to being one of the most important rappers of his generation. However, his story ended tragically, because unfortunately a few days after releasing his second studio album, on March 9, 1997 he died at the age of 24 after being shot while leaving an event in Los Angeles.

Netflix talks about the Notorious BIG again

Since then, The Notorious BIG became a legend in every sense of the word, although his story is still extremely interesting because to date there is no culprit for his death. This has led to the film industry produced documentaries and tapes about his life, like the movie 2018 City of Lies with Johnny Depp and Forest Whitaker or the tape Notorious 2009.

Although out there, Netflix premiered in 2018 a series on the case of the murders of the Brooklyn rapper and Tupac Shakur. But this time, the streaming giant presents us with a new vision about the young man behind the artist who changed the history of hip-hop through a documentary called Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell, which takes its title from the song that gives its name to his second and last studio album, Life After Death.
