CFE restores 100% electricity supply in Mexico

The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) reported that the power supply to users in the 29 states that were affected by the blackouts has already been restored to 100 percent to give stability to the National Electric System.

In the last report of 2:00 p.m., the state company said that there are no longer any cuts in the electricity supply, not even those that were programmed by the National Center for Energy Control (Cenace).

« At 2:00 p.m., the electricity supply was restored to 100 percent to users in the states affected by the scheduled and controlled outages.

« It is noteworthy that the CFE has made all its generation plants available to Cenace, in order to achieve the load-generation balance, thereby reducing load shots, » the Commission said in a statement.

Since the early hours of last Monday, blackouts began to be registered in various entities of the country, mainly affecting those near the border with the United States, which were caused by the lack of natural gas from Texas and with which almost half of the country’s electrical energy.

So far, Cenace has not reported whether there will also be power outages today.
