The next CD Projekt RED project will be Cyberpunk 2077, a title that is situated in a reality far from the one we live in, something that does not matter in this game are problems that do plague the world, such as race discrimination or sexual preferences. These social problems have reached the video game industry and CD Projekt RED recently spoke about how they have addressed these inequalities both in the virtual world and in their own study.
In an interview with the Rzeczpospolita daily site (via CD Projekt RED), CD Projekt RED members Adam Kiciński and Adam Badowski mentioned what inclusion means for the study. According to the creatives, the Polish company is made up of employees from different parts of the world, so it is normal that there is a great diversity of cultures, religious beliefs, policies and lifestyles, as well as different sexual preferences, so that an essential part in coexistence at work, naturally, is tolerance, since its members may have different points of view on the same topic.
CD Projekt RED recognizes that there is still much to do in terms of sexual diversity
It should be noted how CD Projekt RED operates, which even offers the same opportunities regardless of sexual preferences. We say this because in Poland, where the study is, society is usually more conservative than in the West, so the LGBT issue, according to the interviewer, caused « a storm in Poland ».
Although Adam Kiciński believes that in video games there are no problems of sexual diversity so serious that women have to impersonate men in order to participate in the industry, he admits that there is much to be done in terms of sexuality: “Yes, there are other Problems, such as the sexualization of female characters, but are being discussed openly and bold steps are being taken to mitigate them. Sexual orientation is in a similar position. «
The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 refer to inclusion
CD Projekt RED has had the opportunity to address the issues of diversity, inclusion and even racism issues in its latest titles. In the case of The Witcher, Badowski refers that the literary creator of the series, Andrzej Sapkowski, has dealt with racism in a very notorious way, since there is constantly friction between humans and monsters or species such as gnomes or elves.
« Our games show the consequences of stigmatizing others, reveal the link between social inequality and xenophobic sentiment, and show what humans are capable of when they believe they can act with impunity, » said Badowski.
In Cyberpunk 2077 it is a little different, since it is an obviously cyberpunk world, in which sexuality is subordinated to the need to express a style, making it very liberal in that sense.
« I truly hope that, almost as in the case of The Witcher games, Cyberpunk 2077 surprises everyone with how intrepid, mature and cunning the narratives can be offered in the video game medium, » said Badowski.

As we mentioned before, in Cyberpunk 2077 sexuality takes second place. For people in the cyberpunk world there is personalization and they can take advantage of it to modify their body, represent their style, then, and one of the customizable parts will be the genitals.
Cyberpunk 2077 will debut in November on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and is expected to also arrive at Google STADIA. You can find more news related to him if you visit his file.
