The Board of Directors of PRISA approved this Tuesday, at the proposal of the Appointments, Remuneration and Corporate Governance Committee (CNRGC), the appointment of Carlos Núñez as executive president of PRISA Media and has agreed to propose to the next General Shareholders’ Meeting his appointment as director.

The president of PRISA, Joseph Oughourlian, highlighted that Núñez “has managed in just six years to transform the business model of one of the main Spanish publishing groups, betting on the development of new business models based on technology, with management platforms comprehensive media and content ”. The appointment as executive president of PRISA Media will be effective on May 24.

In parallel, Oughourlian also highlighted that Núñez “has participated in the local radio business and led a change in the company’s organizational and governance model, creating much more agile structures and developing internal talent.”

For her part, the president of PRISA’s CNRGC, Béatrice de Clermont-Tonnerre, added that the new executive president of PRISA Media “has been able to reach agreements with other publishing groups, becoming one of the leaders of the transformation digital and technological of this sector in the Spanish-speaking market ”. “For all these reasons, we have considered Carlos Núñez as a perfectly qualified person to be the Executive President of PRISA Media”, he defended.
