Just a few hours ago we talked to you about the importance of video games in popular culture and how its reach is increasing to such a degree that companies from other industries recognize the opportunities in this market. Well, another company that will have an interesting participation in the video game industry is Anheuser-Busch, which will launch a console that will allow you to play and keep your beers cold.
The Anheuser-Busch brewing company recently announced that through its Bud Light brand it will launch the BL6 console, a console that will mix the 2 passions of many, video games and beers.
The BL6 is basically a Windows 10 PC in the shape of a Bud Light 6 pack that features 16GB of RAM, an Intel i7-1065G7 processor and comes with 6 preloaded games: TEKKEN 7, Soulcalibur VI, Flashlight: Freeze Tag, RBI Baseball 20, Broforce and Six Puck, an original game from Bud Light. The best part is that you can play with this console anywhere without the need for a screen, as it includes an Asus ZenBeam 720p projector.
In case you missed it: the Philadelphia cream cheese brand was not far behind and launched the Philly Series 5.
You can play and keep your beers cold with BL6
According to information from PCMag, 2 beer cylinders are fans, the middle 2 keep the 2 controls included in the system —which are 8Bitdo N30 Pro + with special BL6 design— and the last 2 spaces are reserved for chilling beers. As you read it, the system has a cooling system that will keep a couple of beers cold in these compartments.
“Bud Light has officially won the console war with the BL6: half fridge, half projector, half console. Trust us, the math is correct, ”stated the company.
The bad news is that this system was produced in very limited quantity. The only one known to be for sale is one that can only be found at an auction that is currently running on the Shop Beer Gear site and will conclude in a few days. As you imagine, a very high price is offered for it. The current offer is at $ 50,001 USD and will go to a charity, as it will all go to the National Restaurant Association, an education foundation.
The site reads that the highest bidder will win the only limited edition of the console, but it is unknown how many were produced, as PCMag received one to test.
We leave you with the promotional trailer for BL6.
