SAO PAULO, Nov 19 (.) – Brazil reported 35,918 new cases of the coronavirus disease on Thursday, bringing the total number of confirmed infections closer to six million, the Health Ministry reported.
606 new deaths were reported, bringing the total number of deaths from the disease in the country to 168,061 out of a total of 5,981,767 cases, the Ministry of Health reported.
The government has normalized the publication of the data after suffering more than a week of technical problems, but it still maintains a message on the website in which it warns that “we have some problems in the systems that may cause some delay in the update of the data”.
Brazil is the second country in the world with the highest number of deaths from coronavirus, only behind the United States, and the third in number of cases.
