Brooklyn nets wants to sign Bradley Beal. This Saturday it was revealed through Stefan Bondy, a journalist for the New York Daily News, that the New York franchise intends to take over the services of the Washington Wizards to exercise third offensive sword in the team after Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
However, the Nets have encountered their first hurdle on the way to achieving their goal: Bradley Beal’s own agent. In a statement collected by Forbes’ Adam Zagoria, the shooting guard has reiterated his client’s wish not to abandon the Wizards:
“There are no other options for Beal than staying at the Washington Wizards. That is why he decided to renew in his time. Brad (Bradley Beal) decided to sign a new contract with the Wizards because it is at the Wizards where he wanted and wants to play . There’s no more”.
Bradley Beal signed a two-year, $ 72 million extension to his contract last summer through 2022, and with a player option that would extend his bond with the U.S. capital franchise until the summer of 2023.
The Wizards’ management plans for the short-term future are as follows: maintain Beal and John Wall, wait for the latter to fully recover from his injury, renew Davis Bertans and compete to go as far. possible.
