“Cordial” call, first contact of about fifteen minutes. The new Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, Félix Bolaños, spoke by phone this Thursday with the spokesperson for the Popular Party, Cuca Gamarra. It was an approximation and the two have arranged to meet in person in September after the parliamentary term.
This call occurs with the remodeling of the Government and at a time of total disagreement between La Moncloa and the Popular Party, without understanding to renew the main constitutional bodies.
Bolaños has decided to start a round of telephone contacts with parliamentary spokesmen this Thursday, according to sources from La Moncloa, who explain: “Contacts are being made from higher to lower representation in Congress, so the first call has been made between the minister and the spokesperson for the popular group, Cuca Gamarra ”.
The conversation with the spokesperson of the Popular Group, they explain from the Government, has passed in a “cordial and dialogue tone.” “A first contact between the two, which lasted around 15 minutes”, they specify.
The result: “Both the minister and the spokesperson for the Popular Party have met for a face-to-face meeting at the beginning of the plenary session, already in September.”
These contacts, they comment from the presidential palace, will end with the spokesmen for the UP and PSOE groups, Pablo Echenique and Adriana Lastra. From New York, where he is on an official trip, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has ruled out a new law on the Judiciary and has urged Pablo Casado to unblock the renewal.
