The StarCraft II reveal is one of the most remembered by Blizzard fans and the gaming community at large. The long-awaited sequel came true on July 27, 2010, so RTS celebrates its 10th anniversary this week.
Blizzard prepared several surprises to celebrate with all the title lovers. As part of the anniversary celebrations, the title received its patch 5.0 with various new features that will leave players happy.
As you can imagine, the most passionate fans of the franchise shared their excitement for the title on social media. For its part, Blizzard invited players to discover the saga with an attractive discount in StarCraft: Remastered and the expansions of StarCraft II.
StarCraft II celebrates 10 years with many new features
Blizzard knows that players have gone to great lengths to create maps and mods for StarCraft II. For this reason, the company decided to add news and improvements to both the editor and the creation tools.
The update will make the editor easier to use by incorporating elements from the Warcraft III editor. In addition, the Campaign genre will be added on Arcade mode maps.
Based on the details, this will allow adding transitions between custom campaign maps. Thus, these types of campaigns can be played through Arcade and in cooperative mode.
As if that were not enough, players will have reasons to return to the main campaigns of the title and its expansions, as Blizzard added new achievements to each mission.
Other changes that will be welcomed are a countdown to the start of games and the ability to select the game server in the custom waiting rooms. Below I leave you the trailer that shows the news and some community publications:
