Blizzard Arcade Collection is now available on PC and consoles

Blizzard celebrates its 30th anniversary with the Blizzard Arcade Collection, which is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The collection brings together the original and definitive editions of The Lost Vikings, Rock N Roll Racing and Blackthorne. These games offer the ability to rewind the game up to 10 seconds, the option to save anywhere (except Rock N Roll Racing Definitive Edition), and custom key mapping. The original editions of The Lost Vikings and Blackthorne also feature a « clock mode », which allows players to watch a game and take control at any time.

In addition to the above, the Definitive Edition of The Lost Vikings includes a « superior sound and visual experience », bonus stages and scenes, and support for up to three players in co-op. While the Definitive Edition of Rock N Roll Racing includes ambient effects, local multiplayer for four players, 384 track variations, support for 16: 9 and new songs. The Definitive Edition of the latest game in the collection, Blackthorne, includes a fog of war map that is discovered as players explore the level.

« The Lost Vikings, Rock N Roll Racing, and Blackthorne were the ones that allowed us to create Warcraft, Diablo and StarCraft, so we thought the Blizzard Arcade Collection would be a fun and appropriate way to remember our origins as a company, » said J. Allen Brack, President of Blizzard Entertainment. « Many Blizzard players around the world fondly remember their days with these games and have often asked us to bring them back to modern platforms, so we are delighted not only to do so with this release, but to extend the experience with new features and functionality available for the first time in every game. «

The Blizzard Arcade Collection is available now as part of The Celebration Collection, which contains a number of in-game items for Blizzard games, on PC and consoles. Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch owners can also purchase the collection separately for € 19.99.
