Black Veil Brides’ new album is « almost finished, » frontman Andy Biersack said.
The band previewed ‘The Phantom Tomorrow’, the continuation of ‘Vale’ from 2018, last year with the new single ‘Scarlet Cross’.
Now, in a new Instagram post, Biersack -aka Andy Black- provided his fans with an update on the new album: « I just wanted to thank you for all your support and enthusiasm regarding my most recent projects! » He wrote.
« The response to the book has been incredible and I can’t wait for you to see ‘Paradise City’ coming to Amazon Prime Video next month! In a recent interview with Kerrang! Black spoke of what to expect from the new album: « Over the years, we’ve moved away from the dynamics of heavy riffs and big choruses, which is what makes Black Veil Brides, » he said.
« Our previous LP was very smooth, very shiny, so the goal [esta vez] it was finding a way to make it great, with a lot of string elements and all, but still feeling like there’s an edge built from the riff. «
He added: « I don’t like the term ‘concept album’, but [‘The Phantom Tomorrow’] it’s a concept album. There are themes and ideas and moments that are vastly different from moment to moment, but the goal at the end of the day, the heart of it all, is to write a heavy rock record and build everything from there, as opposed to writing a record. of pop and put riffs on top « .
Back in 2019, Black recalled a strange story about Morrissey and his alleged refusal to go on stage in anything yellow and green.
The singer was participating in the NME Show & Tell challenge when he recalled a strange incident when his band Black Veil Brides shared a venue with the former Smiths star.
« I don’t know if it’s true or if someone was kidding them, but that’s my Morrissey story, » he said.
