BIOSTAR P500 is an external SSD dedicated to users who want to take advantage of solid state drives to move data and files at high speed, connecting to almost any computer and anywhere.
The unit comes in a aluminum housing designed to dissipate heat, protect from electrostatic discharge, provide structural and passage rigidity, look attractive and customized by the included RGB lighting system that can be activated / deactivated simply by moving the unit 45 degrees.
It measures little more than 11 centimeters so it can be comfortably transported anywhere. Its external connector is a USB Type-C, although the company includes a second cable with an adapter to USB Type-A to increase compatibility.
Internally it connects to a PCIe interface (it really is an M.2) and supports the NVMe protocol. The external interface is the USB 3.2 Gen2 standard so its data transfer rate is high, up to 1,000 / 900 Mbytes per second in sequential read / write.
