Siefore is an Investment Company Specialized in Retirement Funds. In it, the Afores invest the workers’ resources to obtain the highest possible profits, with the purpose of increasing the amount of savings. They do this under the supervision of the regulatory body, the National Commission of the Retirement Savings System (CONSAR).

The higher the yield that your Afore offers you, the higher your earnings and your pension will be when you retire, so if you do not have an extra income when you stop receiving your salary, you will depend on your pension to live, and the more you get in your Afore the better it will be your quality of life when you retire. It seems that the difference in the returns offered by the resource managers is minimal, but if you change from one to another while remaining in the one or those that offer the most performance, it can mean a difference of hundreds of thousands of pesos for you.
