Although the fever for the Battle Royale seems to decrease, there are still those who seek to be part of it and provide something new that breaks with the traditional style. It is said that there comes a time when you have to renew or die and it is in those proposals away from the reflectors and close-ups where you can find interesting things, such as Battlepalooza, a game that will take advantage of Google Maps technology to offer something different .

Through a press release, nWay, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, presented Battlepalooza, a title that relies on Google’s Real World Games platform to turn any real place in the world into a ready stage for a Battle Royale competition. Unlike the basic mechanics of the most successful Battle Royale, based on immediate reaction and shooting skills, Battlepalooza proposes something different with a combat system that takes elements from RPGs and MOBAs to balance the skills with the trigger and strategy, whether on offense or defense.

According to nWay, they decided that Battlepalooza was like this, considering that Battle Royale is no longer fun and alienates the public who does not polish their talent when it comes to shooting. Hence, they propose a strategic thinking that will begin in the pre-battle with the selection of equipment, weapons and items.

Battlepalooza will provide Battle Royale action in 24-player sessions and with different game modes. Initially, only cities such as Las Vegas and San Francisco will be available, but it is expected that the availability of maps will gradually expand.

This title will debut on December 10 on iOS and Android devices and pre-registration is now open with a series of rewards for those who are among the first to try it.
