The Minister of Agriculture of the Nation, Luis Basterra, Today he formally introduced Jorge Solmi, the new Secretary of Agriculture, to the Liaison Board.

Solmi, who replaces the outgoing Julián Echazarreta, was introduced in a virtual chat with presidents and vice presidents of the group.

Solmi is a former vice president of the Argentine Agrarian Federation, a former Buenos Aires provincial deputy and is in the space of Sergio Massa’s Renovation Front.

As he was able to reconstruct this medium, Solmi’s formal greeting and her willingness to work together took place in the virtual meeting.

Meanwhile, from the Liaison Table there was a reminder of the issues that concern the camp leadership.

Some leaders emphasized the need for long-term policies that allow predictability and generate employment for the country.

Basterra and Solmi listened. In addition, the Minister of Agriculture issued an invitation for two leaders to attend a meeting of the entire food chain this Thursday to discuss the price and wage agreement. The meeting will be at the Ministry of Productive Development.

It is worth remembering that the Government, after inflation of 36.1% last year, has as its goal an increase of no more than 29% for this year.

Apart from Solmi’s presentation, there were no references to the departure of Marcelo Rossi, former national director of Agricultural Commercial Control, who unexpectedly left that portfolio and, as he himself denounced, in an « inexplicable » way by Minister Basterra.

According to the criteria of
