The 8th day of the men’s Eurocup, Tuesday evening, saw Monaco and Boulogne-Levallois win respectively in Antwerp (75-67) and against Ulm (72-65).
Nice evening for our two French clubs competing in the men’s Eurocup, this Tuesday evening during the 8th day. While waiting for the results of our other representatives in the Nanterre and Bourg-en-Bresse competition, Boulogne-Levallois and Monaco ideally launched the week of the Tricolores by adding a new victory to their counter. Traveling on the floor of the last of its group Antwerp, Monaco won 75-67 against the Belgians in Group C. The Monegasques, third, thus clinch a fourth success.
Boulogne-Levallois, for its part, already has five. On his floor behind closed doors, the Metropolitans indeed dictated their law Tuesday to the Germans of Ulm, beaten 72-65 at the Marcel-Cerdan Sports Palace. A result which allows Ile-de-France residents to keep the orders of group B, tied on points (7) with Unicaja. Led by 7 points (39-32) at the break by the Germans, the runner-up of Bourg-en-Bresse in a Jeep Elite reacted very well to the return from the locker room (17-11 in the third quarter, 23- 15 in the last in favor of Boulogne-Levallois) thanks in particular to his two best scorers of the evening Bastien Pinault (21 points) and the Egyptian Assem Marei, author of 16 points.
Monaco quickly took shelter
Monaco experienced less difficulty in Antwerp. Leading the scoreboard from the start to the end of the game, the Roca Team relaxed slightly in the second half, won by the Belgians (35-31). However, the large lead of the Principality’s players at the break (44-32) could allow the band Mathias Lessort (16 points) and Marcos Knight (20 points) to see it coming. Qualification is getting closer for Monaco as for the Metropolitans. For their part, Nanterre will travel to Trento on Wednesday, while Bourg-en-Bresse will receive Unics Kazan. Hoping that they follow in the footsteps of Monegasques and Metropolitans.
