Bankia receives an award in the V Edition of the OCARE Awards

Bankia has received an award in the V Edition of the OCARE Awards, for which the value, creativity and way in which the entity communicates its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been recognized.

The ‘Putting on Your Face’ communication campaign has received Access I for the best creativity in a CSR communication campaign.

The objective of this campaign, developed in the toughest moments of the pandemic, has been to pay tribute to all the professionals who have carried out their work: health workers, distribution employees, security forces and other private entities that have shown solidarity before the crisis.

María José Galvez, Bankia’s Director of Sustainability, explained that “’Putting on your face’ is a recognition of all the sectors that have worked and have been supporting society to move forward in the hard times of the pandemic. Under the concept ‘It is not time to put yourself in profile’, Bankia pays tribute to all those who ‘have stood up’ to the crisis we are experiencing. More than 35 prestigious companies have accompanied the financial institution in this campaign ”.

The director has detailed that “this recognition shows the solid commitment that Bankia has for sustainability. Responsible management is a transversal part of our strategy and obtaining this award for being one of the companies that is promoting this transformation in society fills us with satisfaction ”.

In line with the commitment it maintains with society and with customers, the financial institution has carried out a series of initiatives with the aim of supporting the different groups that have been affected by the crisis generated.

Gálvez has recognized “the great work and commitment carried out by all Bankia professionals in the hard times of the pandemic and the involvement of many other companies. Because alone we cannot, but together we are much stronger ”.

The OCARE awards were created in order to publicize and promote communication on Corporate Social Responsibility. Every year they recognize the best initiatives carried out in this area by the different companies that carry out their activity in Spain.
