Bankia and Fundació Caixa Castelló present 40 social projects selected in the 2020 Call for Social Action

Bankia and Fundació Caixa Castelló present 40 social projects that have been selected in the ‘Call for Social Action 2020’, and that have a support of 100,000 euros.

The event was held virtually in compliance with health recommendations as a result of the global pandemic caused by the coronavirus.

The projects that have been selected in this edition focus on the fields of employment, the elderly, disability and rural development. The objective is to improve the lives of the elderly, people with disabilities and groups at risk of social exclusion.

The meeting was attended by the corporate director of Bankia de la Territorial in Valencia and Castellón, Jaime Casas; the director of Bankia for the Castellón Sur area, Vicente Miralles; the president of Fundació Caixa Castelló, Juan Antonio Llopis; the manager of Fundació Caixa Castelló, Leopoldo Monfort; as well as the representatives of the selected associations.

The president of Fundació Caixa Castelló has highlighted that “the sixth year of collaboration with Bankia will allow supporting vulnerable people and people with difficult employability. It is expected that almost 23,000 people in the province can benefit from the call, a complete success ”.

For his part, the corporate director of the Bankia Territorial in Valencia and Castellón has commented that “without these calls it would be impossible to reach the different needs that exist, because the entities are the ones that are there, on the ground, next to the users, supporting them in their day-to-day life, which make it possible for the aid that you receive to really reach those who need it ”.

This year’s projects are developed throughout the province of Castellón and are aimed at people with difficult employability, young people and long-term unemployed, dependent people in need of assistance and people with special needs.
