The health ministry reported, through its usual daily report, that there were 163 new deaths in the last day, with which the number of fatalities in the South American country rose to 51,359.

The number of recovered is 1,872,213, while 146,179 remain as active confirmed cases. Of this number, about 3,550 have the disease in intensive care units (ICU).

At the national level, the percentage of occupancy of intensive care beds is 54.2 percent, while in the Metropolitan Area of ​​Buenos Aires (AMBA), which includes the federal capital and part of the province of Buenos Aires, the two districts with higher number of cases, the occupation reached 60 percent today.

Only the province of Buenos Aires reported 1,999 infections today, while the homonymous city (capital) registered a total of 825 positives.

The Argentine president, Alberto Fernández, confirmed on Sunday, through his virtual account on the social network Twitter, that more than 700,000 people have received doses of the Vaccine against Covid-19 in the country, of which « more than 400,000 have already received the two doses and have been immunized. »
