The security team of Manzana has been working around the clock after detecting that Israel’s NSO Group spyware infected Apple products. Researchers from Citizen Lab, a cybersecurity watchdog organization of the University of Toronto, discovered that a device had been infected by this spyware, according to ‘The New York Times’.
The spyware, called Pegasus, used a novel method to Invisibly infect an Apple device without the knowledge of the victim for six months, as explained by the aforementioned media.
“This spyware can do everything an iPhone user can do on their device and more,” said John Scott-Railton, a researcher at Citizen Lab.
Scott-Railton urged Apple customers to run their software updates. “Have an Apple product? Update it today.”
An Apple spokesperson confirmed Citizen Lab’s assessment and said that the company planned to add software barriers spy on your next iOS 15 software update, scheduled for this year
