In recent years, Nintendo has brought several franchises to mobile phones and one of these titles (which is one of the most profitable ones) is Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, which debuted in 2017 and increased in popularity after the premiere of Animal Crossing. : New Horizons. Nintendo has not forgotten about this game, but is constantly receiving updates and events. The most recent addition attracts a lot of attention, since it will provide a new way of interacting between the user and their virtual friends.

Almost 3 years after the release of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Nintendo announced that an augmented reality (AR) feature is on its way to the game. Through a video the company explained that this new option will bring new ways of interacting with the characters and will consist of 2 modes.

In case you missed it: Pokémon GO also has incredible augmented reality options.

You can visit the world of your virtual friends and they yours

The first addition, the AR Camera, will allow players to pretend that the characters are in the real world together with them and take pictures together. As you can see, there will be a great variety of virtual friends that can be selected and their actions will be diverse, so it will be up to the player to choose the ideal one for the situation.

If instead of the animals visiting the real world you prefer to visit theirs, don’t worry, with the Cabin mode you can use the augmented reality functions to simulate that you are inside the cabins of these characters and you can even take photos of them.

The cabin option will be available from level 15 and the characters and objects that you can use in the augmented reality mode will be limited initially, but will increase as you progress through the game.
