The phenomenal seems to be a fan of the WWE Hall of Fame. Styles hasn’t been in the company long compared to many members of the hall of fame. Still, the contributions he has made to WWE are undeniable. Another company owes him much more, but he had to turn down an induction.
Styles was recently asked while on Twitch about a possible Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame induction. He then revealed that he had already been offered a place in his HOF, but declined.
AJ Styles refuses to be in the Impact Hall of Fame
When the induction was offered he was at ROH and NJPW, Styles explained that he believed it was wrong to accept Impact’s induction while under contract with another company.
“They offered it to me, but I was working for ROH and NJPW at the time and I said, ‘I’m not doing that.’ I don’t go to a TNA event when I’m working for someone else, I didn’t think it was right and I was still struggling. I always think it’s weird when people are still fighting and you want to put them in the Hall of Fame. Wait until they are removed. As long as I’m working for WWE, I definitely wouldn’t. I’m not saying I never would, but if I’m working for another company, I’m not doing it. “
The Penomenal signed a new contract with WWE last year, where the company may not let him go for long, even after his retirement.
AJ Styles has already expressed interest in getting to work in the professional wrestling business. WWE could find you a place as a recruiter.
It remains only to wait if Styles will open that possibility of seeing him in the Impact hall of fame.
