Mass layoffs continue in Activision Blizzard, as the company is already preparing to lay off more than 100 workers. According to sources close to the subject, the company plans to close even more offices in addition to those of Versailles and The Hague last October.

According to this source, who decided to remain anonymous, the staff barely heard the news yesterday, and all those who are part of the marketing, public relations, publishing, customer service and localization teams are at risk of become unemployed. When asked about the reasons behind these layoffs, the source mentioned that the company will opt for outsourcing:

“Part of Activision doesn’t believe in community management. They think their games sell themselves. They’d rather spend millions on a Beyonce tweet about Call of Duty instead of hiring a bunch of good people. “

The changes could be related to the recent promise of Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, to expand the workforce beyond 2,000 people for the following year.
