A retired federal police officer was killed tonight by three shots when he resisted three criminals entering his home in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Barracks, to which he had arrived in his car with his wife, according to sources from the security force.
The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. at the corner of California and Río Limay streets, in said neighborhood in the southern part of the City of Buenos Aires.
Spokesmen for the force informed . that a retired NCO from the Argentine Federal Police (PFA) He had arrived with his wife at the door of their home aboard a black Volkswagen Fox, and as he got out of the vehicle he was intercepted by at least three armed criminals for theft.
Under these circumstances, the former police officer began to struggle with the assailants to prevent them from entering his home. According to what was reported by the sources, the retired noncommissioned officer extracted a .38 caliber revolver that he was carrying, after which a shot was heard, whose upward trajectory hit the man’s head and caused his death almost immediately in the corridor of the property. Relatives of the victim assured that the murdered policeman was shot three times.
The assailants fled the place on foot and within a few minutes, the Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA), with jurisdiction in the area, and the City Police detained three suspects, two men and a woman.
