Disney + has proven to be a great platform for the mouse company’s properties. The Mandalorian is one of the best series of the year, and Mulan finally managed to reach users thanks to this platform. Now it seems that the first major animation of this service is already in development, and it is a reboot of Darkwing Duck.

Considering that Duck Tales already has a reboot, Darkwing Duck’s return was only a matter of time. According to Variety, the series does not yet have a writer, and the identity of the actors that appear remains a secret. However, it has been mentioned that Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver and Alex McAtee will serve as executive producers for this reimagining.

Similarly, at the moment it is unknown when the reboot will be available, but more information regarding this production is likely to be revealed at some point in 2021. The original Darkwing Duck series premiered on the Disney Channel in 1991, ran for three seasons, and the last episode aired in late 1992. The story follows the adventures of the titular superhero and his partner Launchpad McQuack.

In related topics, Disney + already exceeds 70 million subscribers. Similarly, WandaVision will be released in January of the following year.
