Halo Infinite was undoubtedly one of the great launches of this year and it was not for less, since it was going to be the launch title of Xbox Series X. After the bad reception that the reveal of the game had and some problems to carry out a Beta, 343 Industries made the difficult decision to delay its project.

The studio knows that the news was a major disappointment for fans of the franchise and for those hoping to step into the next generation with a new Master Chief adventure.

Because of this, Bonnie Ross, director and one of the founding members of 343 Industries, spoke about it. The board took the opportunity to apologize to the players for the bad news.

Ross knows fans are disappointed by Halo Infinite’s delay

Ross wrote a short message on his social media shortly after Halo Infinite’s delay to 2021 was confirmed. The board accompanied his post with the original message from Chris Lee, the project manager.

The creative added that she knows that many fans are disappointed by this decision made by the studio, so she apologized to the players. He also thanked the entire community for their patience and support.

« I know we have disappointed many fans this vacation and I apologize. Thank you for your support and understanding today, » Ross wrote. Fortunately, the board received many messages of support in response.

However, part of the community used his post to complain about the delay. Some users stated that they do not understand what happened to the title, especially since it has been in development for years.

On the other hand, some players spoke about their hopes of seeing the game as soon as possible, if possible with ray tracing on its debut. It is important to mention that Halo Infinite does not have a new launch window for now.

We know that 343 Industries will work to improve various aspects of the new installment. For this, it will receive the support of Sperasoft, a study that has collaborated in the development of other AAA titles. In addition, it is a fact that its multiplayer component will be free for everyone and will have support for 120 fps on Xbox Series X, but for now we have not seen any gameplay of this modality.
